Poker After Dark Season 7: PLO Cash Game
With TV networks surveying the carnage after Black Friday, it’s no surprise that the only shows to survive unscathed from the snafu are High Stakes Poker and Poker After Dark. Long time rivals, the productions have become very different animals of late. They now share little, beyond being a showcase for high profile poker.
The latest season of HSP has been more about fun-filled amateurs mixing it up with the big pros, than any kind of seriously interesting play. Poker After Dark, on the other hand, is a much more sombre affair with all manner of cerebral moments.
PAD benefits in this respect from having a skilled co-commentator, something HSP did away with two seasons ago. Last week, Andy Bloch was on hand to talk viewers through a rare Pot Limit Omaha cash game.
With Full Tilt banning their players from appearing on HSP, it seems only right that PAD should play host to one of the very few televised PLO games. Full Tilt famously plays host to the biggest and best Omaha games and perhaps the three most famous participants were on hand to showcase their skills.
