Martin Finger Takes Down EPT Prague
Poker is as popular as it’s ever been in the Czech Republic, and a lot of it probably has to do with Martin Staszko’s runner up finish in this year’s WSOP Main Event. Just recently the WPT broke its record for a tournament in Europe after 571 people abandoned their Cake Poker download (among other sites) to buy-in to WPT Prague.
EPT Prague was just a short while after WPT Prague, and its numbers were also a resounding success. 722 people paid a €5.3k entry fee, creating a €3.5 million prize pool with €720k for first place.
One of the biggest names to just miss the final table was Chris Moorman, who busted in 15th place. Moorman is a superstar on the best Euro poker sites, and he has also had some recent success in brick-and-mortars. He recently had a huge cash at the World Series of Poker Europe, busting in 2nd place for a cool €800k.
The chip leader at the final table started as Nicholas Levi, but his stack quickly sunk to the bottom after getting coolered with bottom two against the top set of David Boyaciyan.
